An all-inclusive vacation is a type of travel package where almost everything is included in the upfront price. This usually covers accommodations, meals, drinks (including alcohol), entertainment, activities, and sometimes even tips and taxes. Whether at a resort or on a cruise ship, all inclusive vacations provide a hassle-free experience where you don't have to worry about additional costs while you're on vacation. These resorts are typically located in the Caribbean, but we have all inclusive partners in Europe, Central American and South America, as well.
All Inclusives vary drastically from one to the next and it can be very daunting figuring out where to spend your hard earned money on your own. Below are some of the things we ask our clients to consider before we start researching and pricing the best options for them.
RESORT TYPE AND SIZE
Different resorts cater to different clientele. Consider whether you want a family-friendly resort, an adults-only retreat, or a resort focused on specific activities like wellness, adventure, or romance. A smaller resort will have fewer rooms, a quieter atmophere and usually more attentive service. Small resorts are great for people with mobility issues or who only have a few days to get to know the property. A large resort, on the other hand, often offers many ammenities, a dozen or more restaurants and bars, entertainment, multiple pools and more.
BUDGET
Resorts vary in price for a reason and often it boils down to services, ammenities and hotel ambiance. Being honest and transparent about your preferred price range empowers your agent to highlight the best properties for your needs. There is no hearache like falling in love with a vacation that you can't afford.
ACTIVITIES & INCLUSIONS
How do you see yourself on this trip? Are you relaxing quietly by the pool with a Mai Tai? Do you have foam up to your face as you dance around in a pool to a DJ? Paddle boarding on calm waters? Visiting cultural sites or hiking? Getting clear on how you see yourself on vacation will help your agent suggest properties and destinations that will offer these opportunities while away.
TRAVEL DISTANCE & ACCESSIBILITY
Some locations are easier to get to than others. Not all destinations will have non-stop flights available from your local airport everyday. And not all of those flight options have first class or a child bassinet. Some resorts are a fifteen minute drive from the airport, others may take an hour or more to get to. Knowing your travel preferences will ensure your agent provides options that fit your preferred parameters.
ACCOMODATION NEEDS
Consider the type of room you want. Options can range from budget friendly standard rooms to luxurious suites with private pools. Many families require two bedrooms or connecting rooms, which are only offered at some resorts. It is important for your agent to know this before offering you options.
